Member Spotlight

This month, UA Local 496 is proud to highlight Brother Reuben Kolochuk, a 3rd Year Apprentice Plumber and member of Local 496 for the past three years. Reuben is currently working with Modern Niagara, where he continues to develop his skills while contributing to quality projects throughout our industry.

As an apprentice, Reuben understands the value of union membership and the opportunities it creates through training, mentorship, and fair representation. Like many members of Local 496, he is building a strong career while helping uphold the high standards of the UA.

When asked what being a union member means to him, Reuben said:

“I'm proud to be part of a union that has my back.”

That sense of solidarity is what makes our union strong. Through collective bargaining, quality training, and standing together as members, UA Local 496 continues to protect workers, strengthen our industry, and create opportunities for the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
